A Lyga
A Lyga is the top professional football league in Lithuania. Established in 1991, it features a competitive format where teams compete for the championship title. The league typically consists of 10 teams that play each other multiple times throughout the season.
The league operates under the governance of the Lithuanian Football Federation and is part of the UEFA system. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion, while the bottom teams face relegation to the lower division, known as I Lyga.
