Aït Benhaddou
Aït Benhaddou is a historic fortified village, or ksar, located in the Ouarzazate region of Morocco. It is famous for its stunning earthen clay architecture and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village is situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech, showcasing traditional Moroccan building techniques.
The site features a series of kasbahs, which are traditional Moroccan fortresses, and is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including the Atlas Mountains. Aït Benhaddou has served as a backdrop for many films and television series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones, attracting tourists from around the world.
