2021 Africa Cup of Nations
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations was the 33rd edition of the premier football tournament in Africa, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Originally scheduled for 2021, it was postponed to January 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament took place in Cameroon, featuring 24 national teams competing for the title.
The matches were held in six cities across Cameroon, with the final taking place at the Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé. Algeria entered the tournament as the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2019. The tournament showcased the continent's top football talent and fostered regional pride.
