2019 Sri Lanka Bombings
The 2019 Sri Lanka Bombings were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks that occurred on April 21, 2019. Three churches and three luxury hotels in Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa were targeted during Easter Sunday services, resulting in over 250 deaths and hundreds of injuries. The attacks were carried out by a local extremist group known as National Thowheeth Jama'ath.
