1794 Flowing Hair dollar
The 1794 Flowing Hair dollar is one of the first silver dollars minted by the United States. It features a portrait of Lady Liberty with flowing hair on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. This coin is significant as it represents the early efforts of the U.S. government to establish a national currency.
Only about 1,800 of these coins were produced, making them extremely rare and valuable today. The Flowing Hair design was created by Robert Scot, the first Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. Collectors highly prize this coin for its historical importance and artistic beauty.
