12th Grade
The 12th grade, also known as senior year, is the final year of high school in the United States. Students typically range from 17 to 18 years old and complete their high school education by fulfilling specific academic requirements. This year often includes advanced courses and preparation for graduation, as well as standardized tests like the SAT or ACT for college admissions.
In 12th grade, students may also participate in extracurricular activities, such as sports, clubs, and community service. Many students begin applying to colleges or vocational schools during this time, making decisions about their future education and career paths. Graduation ceremonies usually take place in late spring or early summer.
