무속
무속, or Korean shamanism, is a traditional spiritual practice in Korea that involves rituals and ceremonies to communicate with spirits. Practitioners, known as 무당 (mudang), serve as intermediaries between the human world and the spirit realm. They perform various rites to seek guidance, healing, and blessings for individuals or communities.
The practice of 무속 is deeply rooted in Korean culture and often incorporates elements of animism and ancestor worship. Rituals may include offerings, chants, and dances, aimed at appeasing spirits or seeking their assistance. This spiritual tradition continues to play a significant role in the lives of many Koreans today.
