關羽
關羽, also known as Guan Yu, is a historical figure from ancient China, celebrated as a general during the late Eastern Han dynasty. He is best known for his loyalty to his sworn brother, 劉備 (Liu Bei), and his role in the 三國 (Three Kingdoms) period. His bravery and martial skills made him a legendary figure in Chinese history.
In Chinese culture, 關羽 is often regarded as a symbol of loyalty and righteousness. He is also worshipped as a deity in 道教 (Taoism) and 民間信仰 (folk religion), where he is known as 關帝 (Guandi). Statues and temples dedicated to him can be found throughout China and in other East Asian countries.
