达摩
达摩, also known as Bodhidharma, was a Buddhist monk who is traditionally credited with bringing Zen Buddhism to China during the 6th century. He is often depicted as a figure with a fierce expression and is associated with the Shaolin Temple, where he is said to have taught meditation and martial arts to the monks.
In addition to his role in spreading Zen teachings, 达摩 is also known for his legendary nine-year meditation in a cave, which symbolizes deep commitment to spiritual practice. His teachings emphasize direct experience and the importance of meditation, influencing many aspects of Chinese Buddhism and martial arts.
