被爆者
“被爆者” (hibakusha) refers to individuals who were exposed to the atomic bombings during World War II, specifically in the cities of 广岛 (Hiroshima) and 长崎 (Nagasaki) in Japan. These survivors experienced immediate and long-term health effects due to radiation exposure, including physical injuries and psychological trauma.
The term encompasses not only those who were in the cities at the time of the bombings but also individuals who were affected by the fallout in surrounding areas. The Japanese government recognizes hibakusha and provides them with medical care and support to address their unique health needs.
