瓦罕
瓦罕, or the Wakhan Corridor, is a narrow strip of land in northeastern Afghanistan. It connects Afghanistan to Tajikistan and separates the Pamir Mountains from the Hindu Kush. This region is known for its stunning landscapes, including high mountains and valleys, and is home to various ethnic groups, including the Wakhi people.
The corridor is strategically significant, serving as a gateway between Central and South Asia. It is also notable for its unique biodiversity and cultural heritage, with ancient trade routes that once facilitated commerce along the Silk Road. Today, the area remains relatively remote and less populated.
