欧冶子
欧冶子 (Ōuyèzǐ) was a renowned ancient Chinese blacksmith and swordsmith, known for his exceptional skills in metalworking during the Spring and Autumn period. He is often credited with creating some of the finest swords in Chinese history, including the famous 越王剑 (Yuèwáng Jiàn), or the Sword of King Yue. His craftsmanship was so revered that his name became synonymous with high-quality sword-making.
In addition to his skills, 欧冶子 is also associated with the legendary figure 铸剑 (Zhùjiàn), which means "sword casting." His techniques and innovations in metallurgy significantly influenced the development of weaponry in ancient China. Today, he is celebrated as a symbol of excellence in craftsmanship and artistry.
