新年
新年, or the Lunar New Year, is a significant festival celebrated in many Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, and Korea. It marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and usually falls between late January and mid-February. Families gather to celebrate with traditional meals, fireworks, and various cultural activities.
During 新年, people often clean their homes to sweep away bad luck and make room for good fortune. It is also common to give and receive red envelopes containing money, symbolizing good wishes and prosperity for the year ahead. Each year is associated with one of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac.
