嬴政
嬴政, also known as 秦始皇 (Qin Shi Huang), was the first Emperor of China, ruling from 221 to 210 BCE. He is known for unifying the various warring states into a single empire, establishing the 秦朝 (Qin Dynasty). His reign marked significant reforms in politics, economy, and culture, including the standardization of weights, measures, and even the writing system.
In addition to his unification efforts, 嬴政 is famous for initiating the construction of the 长城 (Great Wall) to protect against invasions. He also commissioned the creation of the 兵马俑 (Terracotta Army) to accompany him in the afterlife. His legacy is complex, as he is both celebrated for his achievements and criticized for his harsh rule.
