大三巴牌坊
The "大三巴牌坊" (Ruins of St. Paul's) is a historic landmark located in Macau. It was originally the facade of the Church of St. Paul, which was built in the early 17th century by Portuguese missionaries. The church was destroyed by a fire in 1835, leaving only the grand stone facade standing.
Today, the ruins are a popular tourist attraction, symbolizing the blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures in Macau. The intricate carvings on the facade depict various religious figures and motifs, making it an important site for both history and architecture enthusiasts.
