土家族
The 土家族 (Tujia ethnic group) is one of the 55 officially recognized ethnic minorities in China. They primarily inhabit the mountainous regions of Hunan, Hubei, and Guizhou provinces. The Tujia people have a rich cultural heritage, including unique customs, traditional clothing, and vibrant festivals.
The Tujia language belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language family, but many Tujia people also speak Mandarin. Their traditional architecture features stilt houses, which are designed to adapt to the hilly terrain. The Tujia are known for their craftsmanship, particularly in weaving and embroidery, which reflects their artistic traditions.
