圖西族
圖西族, also known as the Tutsi, is an ethnic group primarily found in Rwanda and Burundi. They are known for their historical role in the region's social and political structures, often associated with cattle herding and agriculture. The Tutsi have a distinct cultural identity, including language, traditions, and social practices.
Historically, the Tutsi faced significant challenges, particularly during the Rwandan Genocide in 1994, when they were targeted by the Hutu majority. This tragic event led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Tutsi and reshaped the demographic and political landscape of the region. Today, efforts continue to promote reconciliation and unity among the different ethnic groups in Rwanda.
