दलित
"दलित" (Dalit) refers to a group of people in India who belong to the lowest social strata in the traditional caste system. Historically marginalized, they have faced discrimination and social exclusion. The term "Dalit" means "broken" or "oppressed," and it is used to describe those who were previously referred to as "Untouchables."
In modern India, Dalits are recognized as Scheduled Castes and are entitled to certain affirmative action policies aimed at improving their social and economic status. Various movements, such as those led by social reformers like B.R. Ambedkar, have sought to empower Dalits and promote their rights within society.
