زينغ خه
زينغ خه (Zheng He) was a Chinese explorer and diplomat during the early 15th century. He was born in 1371 in Yunnan province and was originally a Muslim eunuch. Zheng He is best known for leading seven major maritime expeditions between 1405 and 1433, which took him to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa. His voyages aimed to establish trade relations and showcase the power of the Ming Dynasty.
Zheng He's fleet consisted of large ships called treasure ships, which were significantly larger than European vessels of the time. His expeditions facilitated cultural exchanges and trade, bringing back valuable goods such as spices, precious stones, and exotic animals. Zheng He's journeys are considered a remarkable achievement in maritime history and contributed to the understanding of global trade routes.
