ذوالحجه
ذوالحجه is the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It holds great significance for Muslims, as it is the month in which the annual pilgrimage, known as حج, takes place. This pilgrimage is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for all Muslims who are physically and financially able to perform it at least once in their lifetime.
During ذوالحجه, Muslims also observe the Day of Arafah, which is the second day of the pilgrimage and is considered one of the holiest days in Islam. Following this, the festival of عيد الأضحى is celebrated, marking the end of the pilgrimage and commemorating the willingness of إبراهيم to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.
