دُرگا پوجا
دُرگا پوجا is a major Hindu festival celebrated primarily in West Bengal and other parts of India. It honors Goddess Durga, who symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The festival typically lasts for ten days, culminating in the immersion of the idol of Durga in water, signifying her return to her celestial abode.
During this time, elaborate decorations, cultural performances, and community gatherings take place. People visit beautifully crafted pandals (temporary structures) to offer prayers and participate in rituals. The festival also includes traditional music, dance, and feasting, fostering a sense of unity and celebration among communities.
