хуту
The term "хуту" refers to an ethnic group primarily found in Rwanda and Burundi. They are one of the two main ethnic groups in these countries, the other being the тутси. Historically, the Хуту were primarily farmers and were often in conflict with the Тutsi, leading to significant social and political tensions.
In the 1990s, these tensions escalated into the Rwandan Genocide, where the Хуту majority targeted the Тutsi minority, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands. This tragic event has had lasting effects on the region's social fabric and continues to influence Rwandan society today.
