Тверия, or Tiberias, is a city located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel. It is one of the four holy cities in Judaism and has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Founded by Herod Antipas in the 1st century CE, Tveriya became an important center for Jewish scholarship and culture.
Today, Tveriya is known for its hot springs, historical sites, and as a popular tourist destination. Visitors can explore landmarks such as the Tomb of Maimonides and the ancient synagogue ruins, as well as enjoy recreational activities around the Sea of Galilee.
