Пирин
Пирин is a mountain range located in southwestern Bulgaria. It is part of the Rila-Rhodope massif and is known for its stunning natural beauty, including deep valleys, glacial lakes, and diverse flora and fauna. The highest peak, Vihren, reaches an elevation of 2,914 meters, making it the second highest in Bulgaria.
The area is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and rock climbing. Pirin National Park, established in 1962, protects the unique ecosystems and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is home to various wildlife species, including the rare golden eagle and chamois.
