Охос-дель-Саладо
Охос-дель-Саладо is the highest active volcano in the world, standing at 6,893 meters (22,615 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Andes mountain range on the border between Chile and Argentina. The volcano is part of the Ojos del Salado massif, which features a large crater and a permanent snowcap.
The summit of Охос-дель-Саладо contains the world's highest permanent body of water, a crater lake at about 6,390 meters (20,965 feet). The region is known for its extreme climate, with very low precipitation and high altitude, making it a challenging environment for both flora and fauna.
