Дарія I
Дарія I, also known as Дарій Великий, was the third king of the Ахаменідська імперія, ruling from 522 to 486 до н.е. He is known for his administrative genius and for expanding the empire to its greatest extent, which included parts of Єгипет, Індія, and Греція. Дарія I implemented a system of provinces, called сатрапії, to manage the vast territories effectively.
He is also famous for his construction projects, including the grand city of Персеполь and the Royal Road, which facilitated trade and communication across the empire. Additionally, Дарія I is recognized for his efforts in promoting зороастризм and for the introduction of a standardized currency, which helped to unify the diverse regions under his rule.
