Браманте
Браманте was an influential Italian architect of the High Renaissance, born in 1444 in Urbino. He is best known for his work on the Tempietto, a small church in Rome that exemplifies Renaissance ideals of symmetry and proportion. His designs marked a shift towards classical architecture, drawing inspiration from ancient Roman structures.
In addition to the Tempietto, Браманте played a significant role in the early stages of the construction of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. His innovative use of space and light set the foundation for future architects, including Michelangelo, who later contributed to the basilica's design.
