Φειδίας
Φειδίας was an ancient Greek sculptor and architect, renowned for his work during the Classical period. He is best known for creating the massive statue of Athena Parthenos, which stood in the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. His sculptures exemplified the ideals of beauty and proportion in ancient Greek art.
In addition to the Athena statue, Φειδίας also worked on the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. His techniques and artistic vision greatly influenced the development of sculpture in ancient Greece and left a lasting legacy in Western art.
