Πανγαία
Πανγαία, or Pangaea, was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras, approximately 335 to 175 million years ago. It was formed by the gradual collision of several landmasses, bringing together nearly all of Earth's continents into one large landmass. This configuration significantly influenced the planet's climate, ocean currents, and biodiversity.
Over time, Pangaea began to break apart due to tectonic plate movements, leading to the formation of the continents we recognize today. The separation of Pangaea played a crucial role in the evolution of species and the distribution of flora and fauna across the globe.
