Μοργόθ
Μοργόθ, also known as Morgoth, is a fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, primarily featured in "The Silmarillion." He is depicted as the first Dark Lord and the most powerful of the Valar, originally known as Melkor. Morgoth's ambition for power and domination leads to his corruption and rebellion against the other Valar, resulting in his fall from grace.
Morgoth is responsible for many of the evils in Middle-earth, including the creation of monstrous beings like Balrogs and Dragons. His actions set the stage for the conflicts in Tolkien's works, influencing the histories of both Elves and Men. Ultimately, he is defeated and imprisoned, but his legacy of darkness endures.
