Μαριάμ (Mary)
Μαριάμ (Mary) is a significant figure in Christianity, known as the mother of Ιησούς (Jesus). She is often depicted as a symbol of purity and devotion, playing a crucial role in the Nativity story. According to the Βίβλος (Bible), she conceived Jesus through the Άγιο Πνεύμα (Holy Spirit), making her a central figure in the Christian faith.
In addition to her role in Christianity, Μαριάμ is also recognized in Ισλάμ (Islam) as the mother of Jesus, referred to as Ιησά (Isa). She is honored for her piety and is the only woman mentioned by name in the Κοράνι (Quran). Her life and virtues continue to inspire many believers across different cultures.
