Ιντι Αμίν
Ιντι Αμίν was a Ugandan military officer and politician who served as the President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. He came to power after a coup that overthrew Milton Obote, the previous president. Amin's regime was marked by widespread human rights abuses, political repression, and economic decline.
During his rule, Amin expelled many Asian residents from Uganda, leading to significant economic disruption. His government was known for its brutality, with thousands of people killed or tortured. In 1979, Amin was ousted from power by a coalition of Ugandan exiles and the Tanzanian military, leading to his eventual exile.
