Δανάης
Δανάης, or Danaë, is a figure from Greek mythology, known as the daughter of Acrisius, the king of Argos. She is famous for being the mother of Perseus, a hero who would later slay the monster Medusa.
According to the myth, Acrisius received a prophecy that he would be killed by his grandson. To prevent this, he locked Δανάης in a bronze chamber. However, Zeus, the king of the gods, visited her in the form of golden rain, leading to the birth of Perseus. This story highlights themes of fate and divine intervention in Greek mythology.
