Δανάη
Δανάη is a figure from Greek mythology, known as the daughter of Acrisius, the king of Argos. She is famous for being locked away in a bronze chamber by her father, who feared a prophecy that her son would kill him. Despite this, she was visited by Zeus, who transformed into golden rain to reach her, leading to the birth of her son, Perseus.
In various myths, Δανάη's story highlights themes of fate and divine intervention. After giving birth to Perseus, she and her son were cast adrift in a wooden chest by Acrisius, but they eventually found safety on the island of Seriphos.
