Βλαχία
Βλαχία, known as Wallachia in English, is a historical region located in present-day Romania. It is situated south of the Carpathian Mountains and is bordered by the Danube River to the south. The region played a significant role in the formation of the Romanian state and was known for its rich agricultural land and strategic position.
Historically, Βλαχία was divided into two principalities: Muntenia and Oltenia. It was ruled by various princes, including the famous Vlad the Impaler, who inspired the Dracula legend. Today, Βλαχία is recognized for its cultural heritage, including traditional crafts, folklore, and historical sites.
