Ægir
Ægir is a figure from Norse mythology, known as a giant and the personification of the sea. He is often depicted as a host of feasts for the gods, particularly inviting them to his underwater hall. Ægir is associated with the ocean's power and unpredictability, reflecting the ancient Norse understanding of the sea as both a source of life and danger.
Ægir is married to Rán, a goddess who represents the sea's darker aspects. Together, they have nine daughters, known as the Ægir's daughters, who personify the waves. Ægir's character highlights the importance of the sea in Norse culture, symbolizing both abundance and peril.
