{Philippine-American War
The Philippine-American War took place from 1899 to 1902, following the Spanish-American War. After the United States defeated Spain, it took control of the Philippines, leading to conflict with Filipino nationalists who sought independence.
The war involved guerrilla warfare and resulted in significant casualties on both sides. The U.S. aimed to establish control over the islands, while Filipino leaders, including Emilio Aguinaldo, fought for their sovereignty. The conflict officially ended in 1902, but tensions and resistance continued for years.
