Hôtel des Invalides is a complex of buildings in Paris, France, originally commissioned by Louis XIV in 1670 to house war veterans. It features stunning architecture, including a grand dome covered in gold leaf, which is part of the Dôme des Invalides.
Today, the site serves multiple purposes, housing several museums, including the Musée de l'Armée, which showcases France's military history. It is also the final resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte, whose tomb is located beneath the dome, attracting many visitors each year.
