玛丽·沃斯通克拉夫特 (Mary Wollstonecraft) was an English writer and philosopher, born in 1759. She is best known for her work "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman," published in 1792, which argued for women's education and equality. Wollstonecraft's ideas were revolutionary for her time, challenging the traditional roles of women in society.
In addition to her advocacy for women's rights, Wollstonecraft was also a significant figure in the early feminist movement. Her writings laid the groundwork for future discussions on gender equality and inspired later thinkers, including 弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫 (Virginia Woolf) and 西蒙·德·波伏娃 (Simone de Beauvoir).
