wound healing
Wound healing is the body's natural process of repairing damaged skin or tissue. When you get a cut or scrape, your body immediately starts working to close the wound. This involves several stages, including inflammation, where the area becomes red and swollen, and new tissue formation, where cells multiply to fill in the gap.
As the healing progresses, the body forms a protective layer over the wound, often called a scab. Over time, the scab falls off, revealing new skin underneath. Proper care, like keeping the wound clean and covered, can help speed up this healing process and reduce the risk of infection.
