visible spectrum
The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that can be seen by the human eye. It ranges from approximately 380 nanometers (nm) to 750 nm in wavelength. This spectrum includes all the colors of light that we perceive, from violet at the shorter wavelengths to red at the longer wavelengths.
When light passes through a prism, it can be separated into its component colors, demonstrating the visible spectrum. Each color corresponds to a specific wavelength, and together they create the white light we see from sources like the Sun or light bulbs.
