uniform distributions
A uniform distribution is a type of probability distribution where all outcomes are equally likely. In this distribution, every value within a specified range has the same chance of occurring. For example, if you roll a fair six-sided die, each number from 1 to 6 has an equal probability of 1/6.
Uniform distributions can be continuous or discrete. In a continuous uniform distribution, any value within a given interval can occur, such as the height of a person between 5 and 6 feet. In contrast, a discrete uniform distribution involves distinct outcomes, like the roll of a die or the flip of a coin, where each outcome is equally probable.
