tulang fibula
The tulang fibula is one of the two long bones in the lower leg, the other being the tulang tibia. It is located on the outer side of the leg and runs parallel to the tibia. The fibula is thinner and provides support to the leg, but it does not bear much weight. Instead, it serves as an attachment point for muscles and ligaments.
The fibula has two main parts: the head, which is located near the knee, and the lateral malleolus, which is the bony prominence on the outside of the ankle. Injuries to the fibula, such as fractures, can occur due to falls or sports activities, affecting mobility and stability.
