triceratops
The triceratops was a large dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period, around 68 to 66 million years ago. It is known for its three distinctive facial horns and a large bony frill at the back of its head. This herbivorous dinosaur could grow up to 30 feet long and weighed around 6 to 12 tons.
Triceratops primarily fed on low-lying plants and used its strong beak to clip vegetation. Fossils have been found mainly in North America, and it is one of the most recognizable dinosaurs, often featured in books and movies about the dinosaurs.
