the Cowardly Lion
The Cowardly Lion is a character from L. Frank Baum's classic children's book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He is one of the main companions of Dorothy, the story's protagonist, and seeks courage to overcome his fears. Despite his imposing appearance, the Cowardly Lion often feels inadequate and doubts his bravery.
In the story, the Cowardly Lion joins Dorothy, Scarecrow, and Tin Man on their journey to meet the Wizard of Oz. He believes that the Wizard can grant him the courage he lacks. Throughout their adventure, the Lion learns that true bravery comes from within, even if he doesn't realize it at first.
