Sperm whales are the largest toothed whales, known for their distinctive block-shaped heads. They can grow up to 20.5 meters (67 feet) long and weigh as much as 57,000 kilograms (125,000 pounds). These whales are deep divers, capable of reaching depths of over 2,000 meters (6,600 feet) in search of food, primarily squid. Sperm whales are social animals, often found in groups called pods, which can consist of up to 20 individuals. They communicate using a series of clicks and are known for their intelligence.
