The red panda is a small mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has a distinctive reddish-brown fur, a long, bushy tail, and a face that resembles a raccoon. Red pandas primarily inhabit temperate forests and are known for their tree-climbing abilities. They are mostly nocturnal and spend much of their time foraging for food.
Red pandas are classified as carnivores, but their diet mainly consists of bamboo, along with fruits, acorns, and insects. They are solitary animals and communicate through various vocalizations and scent markings. Due to habitat loss and poaching, red pandas are considered endangered.
