live-action role-playing
Live-action role-playing (often abbreviated as LARP) is a form of interactive storytelling where participants physically act out their characters' actions in a fictional setting. Players create and embody characters, often inspired by fantasy, science fiction, or historical themes, and engage in scenarios that may involve combat, problem-solving, or social interactions.
During a LARP event, players typically wear costumes and use props to enhance their experience. The game is often guided by a set of rules, and a designated game master may oversee the storyline. LARPing encourages creativity, teamwork, and improvisation, making it a unique blend of theater and gaming.
