jet engine components
A jet engine consists of several key components that work together to produce thrust. The main parts include the compressor, which increases the pressure of incoming air, and the combustion chamber, where fuel is mixed with the compressed air and ignited. This process generates high-temperature gases that expand rapidly.
The turbine extracts energy from these gases to drive the compressor, while the nozzle directs the exhaust flow to create thrust. Additionally, the fan at the front of some jet engines helps to increase efficiency by providing extra thrust and improving airflow through the engine.
