foals
A foal is a young horse that is less than one year old. Foals are typically born in the spring and can stand and walk shortly after birth. They rely on their mothers, known as mares, for milk and protection during their early months. Foals grow quickly and begin to eat solid food around two to three months of age.
Foals are known for their playful behavior and curiosity. They often engage in running, jumping, and exploring their surroundings. As they grow, foals develop into yearlings and eventually mature into adult horses, known as stallions or mares, depending on their gender.
